FinSecure Ltd
FinTech
RegTech spin-out, post-revenue.
What we do
FinSecure provides regulatory reporting and transaction monitoring software to mid-sized banks, payment institutions and electronic money firms. The platform ingests transaction data from core banking systems, reconciles it against the reporting taxonomies the firm is obliged to submit, and maintains an immutable, cryptographically verifiable audit trail of every adjustment made between the source ledger and the submitted return — which is the evidence a supervisor asks for when a report is challenged.
Market and customers
Regulatory reporting is a cost centre that grows with every supervisory change, and mid-sized firms are squeezed hardest: they carry the same obligations as large banks without the compliance headcount to absorb them. Most of this work is still done in spreadsheets bridged to legacy reporting tools, and the operational risk of that arrangement is well understood by the firms living with it. We sell to heads of compliance and finance, typically displacing a manual process rather than a competing vendor. Our customer base is 34 firms across the UK and Ireland, with expansion underway into the Netherlands and the Nordics.
Traction
Annual recurring revenue passed £3.1M in the last financial year, growing 68% year on year with net revenue retention of 118%. Gross margin is 82%. No customer has churned in the last two years, which reflects both the switching cost of a reporting system and a deliberate focus on implementation quality. Average contract value has risen as firms move additional report types onto the platform.
Team and investors
The company was founded from the university's distributed systems group and is led by a chief executive with two decades in regulatory technology. Headcount is 61, of whom 28 are in engineering. Previous funding comprises a £2M seed and a Series A led by a London fintech fund, with the university retaining a minority holding.
Current raise
A £5M Series B is open, to fund European expansion, coverage of two further regulatory regimes, and the build-out of an implementation partner channel.
Current raise: £5M Series B
Previously raised: £2M seed + Series A
